Shortcodes & Widgets

We have three different ways to use all our components on any page you wish.

  1. Using the Elementor page builder.
  2. Using Widgets.
  3. Using shortcodes

Table of contents

By applying this, you can set the table of contents anywhere in your page as you wish.

  1. Using Elementor: Go to the page or post where you want to set the Table of contents and select “Edit with Elementor”. Under the search widgets in the section’s area, type “Helpie Table of contents” which will pull the Helpie Toc widgets.
  2. Using Widgets: Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. You will find a widget called “Helpie Table of contents”.
  3. To use Shortcode, apply the below shortcode:

Search

Search Box:

By applying this, you can set the helpie search box at anywhere in your page as you wish.

  1. Using Elementor: Go to the page or post where you want to set the helpie search box and select “Edit with Elementor”. Under the search widgets in the section’s area, type “Helpie Search box” which will pull the Helpie search box.
  2. Using Widgets: Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. You will find a widget called “Helpie Search box”.
  3. To use Shortcode, apply the below shortcode:

Search Results Page:

By applying this, you can set the helpie search results page at anywhere in your page as you wish.

  1. Using Elementor: Go to the page or post where you want to place the helpie search results page and select “Edit with Elementor”. Under the search widgets in the section’s area, type “Helpie Search Results” which will pull the Helpie search results page.
  2. Using Widgets: Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. You will find a widget called “Helpie Search Results”.
  3. To use Shortcode, apply the below shortcode:

Article listing Shortcodes

By applying this, you can set the article listing at anywhere in your page as you wish.

  1. Using Elementor: Go to the page or post where you want to set the article listing and select “Edit with Elementor”. Under the search widgets in the section’s area, type “Helpie Article Listing” which will pull the Helpie article listing.
  2. Using Widgets: Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. You will find a widget called “Helpie article listing”.
  3. To use Shortcode, apply the below shortcode:

TopicstopicsTextRemember you need to give the topic id here to set the topic. To find the Category id, go to Helpdesk -> Helpdesk Category. Move the mouse over the name of the WordPress Category you would like to know the ID of (without clicking) and notice the URL that shows up at the bottom left corner of the browser.

You can also use some free Plugins like “Reveal IDs” to find out the Category id.
Number of Columnsnum_of_columns

one,two,three,fournumberYou can set the number of columns in which the articles should be displayed. Note that this applies only for "Card" style.
Stylestylelist,cardSelectYou can display the article in either list format or card format
Number of articleslimit1 to infinitynumberYou can choose how many articles should be displayed anywhere from one to infinity.

True/FalseYou can set to display or hide the image of the article. Remember this works only in card style.

True/FalseUse ‘True’ if you want to show extra information. Use ‘False’ if you don’t want to show extra information

Category Listing Shortcodes

By applying this, you can set the category listing at anywhere in your page as you wish.

  1. Using Elementor: Go to the page or post where you want to set the category listing and select “Edit with Elementor”. Under the search widgets in the section’s area, type “Helpie Category Listing” which will pull the Helpie category listing.
  2. Using Widgets: Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. You will find a widget called “Helpie category listing”.
  3. To use Shortcode, apply the below shortcode:

  2. Using Widgets: Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. You will find a widget called “Helpie Stats section”.
  3. To use Shortcode, apply the below shortcode:
